Sorry about the sloppy posting @tdz. I know you like challenges, but I've added a pic showing both number 6s.

Here is my contribution for today, a Hungarian Denar from 1565 AD, with a clear four digit date on the rev:

A bit of a catch-up post here. I kept forgetting to post this coin on CCF, but got reminded by Spence's groschen from the other Saxony...

Walking-Back-From-1600-With-Dated-Coins Walking-Back-From-1600-With-Dated-Coins

Saxony-Ernestine, (reunified) Duchy of
Johann Wilhelm of Saxe-Weimar (r. 1566-72)
AR dreier (3 pfennig), (15)68
Saurma 2454 ("Sachsen Alt-Weimar"); MB# 3 ("Saxe-Old-Weimar")
technically not on Numista but cf. Numista 184446 (pre-1566 Saxe-Gotha issue, Saurma 2448)

It appears that this type was issued by Johann Wilhelm of Saxe-Weimar after the temporary reunification of Ernestine Saxony in 1567 following the Grumbach Feud, essentially copying (but with different ordering of the arms, which was probably important at the time) the previous type of his disinherited brother Johann Friedrich of Saxe-Gotha.
I vaguely recall that I've even seen this type catalogued as a Saxe-Gotha coin somewhere... anyone knows what all those quartered arms are?

@j1m, glad you posted this. As to the five shields on the rev here is what numista says about a similar coin:

Quote:
5-fold arms with the coat of arms of the Landgraviate of Thuringia, the Count Palatinate of Saxony, the Margravate of Meissen, the Margravate of Landsberg and the Ducal Saxony arms.

This 1564-dated Half Batzen comes from the German County of Stolberg-Konigstein-Rochefort:
