After wanting to put together a type set for years, I finally started my Dansco 7070 project this weekend. I went through my collection to see what holes I could already fill. My first completed hole was the Large Cent, Draped Bust, 1796-1807: a 1798 2nd Hair Style cent, S-181, EDS, with a 45° rotated reverse. It's my only 18th century U.S. coin. Annoyingly the album hole is way too large. Only the slides are holding the coin in place. Don't forget to check out the "153 Days of Dansco Albums" thread. Today and tomorrow are for the 7070!

I filled both Jefferson nickel holes. For the regular type, I cut out a 1963 nickel from a Mint Set, which was the first time I've ever broken open a Mint Set. I also traded for a 1945-S War Nickel to fill the 35% silver hole.

Quote:Nice circulation cameo. Thanks, jbuck! I always enjoy a coin with circulation cameo. Quote: Keep up the good work! Thanks for pulling us along for the journey. Take full album photos as progress is made! Thank you, jacrispies! I'll be sure to take full album photos as I go along, too. You can check out my progress with that over in the "153 Days of Dansco Albums" thread. My last hole filled on Page 2 is the Roosevelt Silver Dime with this 1963, also cut from the Mint Set. I was hoping to use that set to fill the Franklin half dollar hole, along with holes in my various modern uncirculated sets, but most of the coins developed a white haze or splotchy toning from the plastic OGP. I was very disappointed and should have cut up that set years ago.
