Hi,
I was able to get $40 in nickels today from the bank & I have 5 rolls left. So far I found 4 2024-D nickels, one 2009 & one each 1940 P & D. The Bank knows I am a collector, so they rarely let me have rolls anymore. According to one of the tellers, Collectors are the enemy & scum of the earth. Which means we must go forward into battle to get more coins.

Since I CRH, you think I would have heard about this. I don't know if I've come across any, probably. I will have to pay attention now and add a tally line for 2024 nickels in my ledger.

Last Friday, I found 1 2009 D, 2024P and a nice 2024D.

Found my first 2024-D of the year yesterday... I'm up to 5 total now - this one is the best example yet.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

A lot of people didn't know early on... myself included. That said, I kept looking for that first 2024 nickel and when they weren't appearing as with the other denominations, I became concerned and started checking the mintage figures... from what I've seen, it looks like a repeat of 2009 (many coins going to Puerto Rico), the difference being my part of the country not being a prime circulation area as in that year. I picked up 25 customer wrapped rolls. The good news was I found 4 2024 D and 1 2024 P.  Bad news, only the 2024P and one 2024 D were not environmentally damaged by the pinkish corrosion which I could not remove with acetone.  |

Glad you found some examples, jk109e4... though it sucks 3 of them had damage... As for me, I'm up to 10 2024 nickels total: 8 2024-Ds (only 1 damaged - Coin Wrapping Machine scrape), and 2 2024-Ps. CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

I found one 2024-P a couple weeks ago, and two 2024-D nickels a couple weeks before that. No additional 2024 nickels from my weekly $20 CRH.
