Attached are a few photos that show 4 areas of die cracks on the reverse of a 1988 penny found. The extra material by the I in United seems like a Die Cud. I was looking at a post recently and could it be a Retained Cud or just a keeper for coin file?

Thanks in advance.

They're just Die Cracks. No Cud.

I'm seeing the die cracks, but no cud--cud as defined for numismatic purposes.

always great information. Die chip make sense by the I on reverse. A good keeper for file.

Thanks.
