I'm not convinced this is a 1989 D DDO-001. There is no DDO-001 A Stage on VV. No notch on the 1. But there definitely is a nice spread on the date. Or is the spread and thickness in the date just Die Deterioration?

Your thoughts. Thanks.

I checked out Coppercoins for this DDO, and YES, there are 7 listed. 5 more listed than Wexler and VV. I agree this is a DDO but based on the bulbous ends on the 1, 9 and 9 I don't see an exact match. Maybe this one is unattributed.

Thanks for posting the link @Willburton.

I gave this one a good look at all 3 sites and coudln't find a match, due to MM placement etc.
It sure looks like it could be an unattributed DDO.. ya never knows.

I quit trying to even attribute the 89's, P or D. For the Philly mint, there are two doubled working hubs for the obverse and two for the reverse. I know the mints had been known to share working hubs between mints but not sure for the 89's. The fact that the Philly shows two of each though, I don't usually spend time messing with them, just chuck them in a roll like I do doubled columns and most class 2 and class 6 wheat DDR's. I may take a second look if they are extreme.
