Two or three times a month I'll buy rolls at my bank and search them as I have time. I also have a pretty good rapport with the tellers and I usually ask them if they have any "funny" money. Eisenhowers, SBAs, Sacagaweas, Kennedys, etc. They've begun saving them for me, partly because they don't have a place in the till for them and hate to count them separately.
I cashed a check on Monday and the teller asked if I wanted any of these coins. I bought all she had, a good assortment (I have a five gallon jug that's my Christmas fund after I look through them). Anyway, when I got home, four of the Kennedys were 40% silver, 2 - 1967, and 1 each 68-D and 69-D. I also received two William Henry Harrison Ds for the Presidential books I've started for my three children. I don't see many D mints here in PA and usually buy them at the local flea market.
Not a huge haul, but nice to get!
