Thanks for posting the link. It's a well written article on the 1938-D/S Buffalo nickel varieties. Curious they didn't show direct images of the OMM, but it's still a thorough guide and an enjoyable read.

I would be interested to know how many Buffalo nickel collectors on CCF already have one or more 1938-D/S in their collections.

The article is a bit confusing. It shows the OMM 1 variety as a minor variety versus the "strong" D/S. Variety Vista classifies the strong DDD over S as the OMM 1 or FS 511. here is my example.

@Dearborn, I remember when you posted pics of your specimen. It was nice too! I think I paid either $35 or $40 for this coin at a local coin show in1990. I had a D/D just as nice condition but I sold it about ten years ago.
