This 1864 2 cent piece looks like PMD on the obverse at 9k. Just want some confirmation. I speculate that a piece of southern shot struck it in the the pocket of a Yank preventing further injury. Thanks for having a look.

I included the 2 as it looks like a possible clash in the upper curve.

As I thought. That had to be a high impact hit to push the letters straight down. Thus the worn bulge on the opposit side. Aside from the damage, not a bad war coin.
