There probably was a Die Clash at one time. It appears to been pretty much polished out. It also could be Progressive Indirect Design Transfer, a form of Die Deterioration. https://www.error-ref.com/progressi...gn-transfer/

Yes PIDT - from a very worn die - hence the die polishing and metal flow lines lines.....

Ah I see. Thanks. Its a pretty looking coin for 1972. Is this worth hanging on to because even though it's Die Deterioration its pretty clean.? Idk
