other than a 3rd party grading service how can one tell if they have one or the other

i was just on a site that listed a 1962 silver dollar at $8 at MS 60
$15 at MS 63 and $200 at MS 65

Wow... The devices look absolutely flawless in both pics! The differences above MS-62 and up are so minute, that they require a loupe or microscope for close analysis. I think this dollar is worth certifying, I think it could hit MS65 or higher if the photos are accurate.

mine too and I just realized I was quoting the price of the 1/2 dollar I have seen this coin listed at $1400CD at MS65

think I may need to get this graded

Yes yotie I noticed the cameo as well. Not a canadian coin guy, is this a proof or a business strike? It looks great, I'd submit it, and it's also my favortite portrait of Her Majesty. LOL - I guess most people dont pay much attention to these things, but I am rooting for Her Majesty to set the all time record for the monarchy. 57 years on the throne - woohoo - and counting!!

I think this is a PL coin. I do not think TPG is in order sorry. $20.00 coin to me does not substantiate the cost of TPG. IMO.
