They are both silver Joe! As mentioned in your other post! The 1969 is a 40% silver half consisting of 80% silver/20% copper outer layers bonded to a 79% copper/21% silver core! This is why it passed the tissue test!
I gather you are thinking this might be a 90% silver half dollar! Very unlikely! I would venture to say impossible judging by the 11.5 gram weight you posted in the other thread.
If this half dollar weighed close to the 12.5 grams of a 90% and was dated 1965 or 1966 or at a stretch 1967, I would say possibly. Since 90% silver half dollars dated 1964 were being minted until April 1966 as well as the 40% dated 1965 and 1966 in an effort to prevent hoarding of coins. But since your coin is the standard 11.5 gram weight of all 40% silver half dollars and was minted at least 2 2/3 years after the last 90% silver half dollar for circulation, It doesn't really seem possible that it is 90%.
