Quote: Are you doing the proofs from 1936 up?
Thats my plan, and after the set is complete I am going for the Varieties and errors, I put myself to sleep everynight dreaming about what the set could be.

Quote: Is it possible for you to post a close up photo of your 1970 S small date?
Yes as soon as I can I will, I bought the small date from a dealer and it was labeled a small date but I am not so sure it is one and I want confirmation. I am terrible about telling them apart and yes I have read all the material online about the differences.

Turns out the small date I had was in fact a large date. It was sold to me by a dealer who had it marked small date on the 2x2. I swear I have the hardest time telling them apart, but I will for sure be getting a refund for that purchase.

Boy that is a nice looking set. I only did the 7100 for wheats. Just couldn't see myself affording all those early proofs. The 14-D and 1909 S VDB were steep enough. All dates 1935 and up are BU red. Anyway I think the Lincoln set is the epitomy of the US numasmatic collections. Everyone should start with that. Congratulations.

I too am working on the Lincoln Dansco. My cents are only BU from 1948 to the present. Still need the 1909 S VDB, 1922 Plain. I would like to get the 09 in XF one day.
I would also like spots for the 2009 coppers and satin finished coins.
Your set is excellent, Nice job.

I have been debating purchaseing an extra blank page for all the satin finish coins. With those and all the extra proofs I really will have a complete set when finished.

Yeah, I dont know if you could get another page in the 8100. Might be a tight fit. I keep wanting to put all mine back into my 8100 only because I really like the look of the set in the album. But, I always say no due to the fact of no early proof slots, a few varieties I want in my set and the satin coins. Wish we could customize order a lincoln album. I'd pay good cash for that.

As far as what I have heard, you can contact dansco and have an album made. There was a man on ebay selling a money of the bible set and he stated in the auction that he special ordered the album from dansco.

OOhh....I found the auction on ebay. I contacted the seller for some info, otherwise I'm going to call up Dansco when I have a chance and see just how far I can customize an album.

Several years ago I ordered some replacement binders from Dansco. After talking to them on the phone, I got the impression that they will make you anything you want as long as you want to pay for it.

S.W.E.E.E.E.E.E.T. album there Joker ! ..... It's only in my dreams that I'll EVER be able to get the later year Proofs in my Lincoln Cent album though.......I'm so jealous/envious of yours ! ... Mid-seventies "S" mints in average condition is the farthest I have, and the farthest I'll likely ever make it......

Honestly, the Early proofs, so far haven't been THAT pricey, I still need all of the proofs from the '30's and a '41 and a '50 and '51. Its the '50 and the '36 that's scaring me. ESPECIALY the '36. When I have seen raw examples they are always waaaay out of my budget. I was just looking through my silver to see what I wouldn't mind parting with to pick up a few more proofs. I need some opinions: Sell the silver to complete the proofs or hang on to it? EDIT: Sorry eaglefoot just noticed you said LATER proofs, yeah I busted most of these out of sets I already had, I don't know what your budget is but I have a seller on ebay I have used a number of times that sells all of the proofs I believe '68 - '09 for $100 shipped. A couple of my friends ordered sets from him and they where all beauties, of course that's minus the small dates.
