Well Done indeed, the Edinburgh ones are particularly hard to find. You must have the luck of the Gods
Im in Scotland(no doubt guessed) and I've only had 3 Edinburgh capital cities.
I found a commonwealth games £2, and it was NI. I near dropped to my knees, thought it was England at first. Supper chuffed about that, but the Scottish and Welsh ones are still eluding me. I think its 8 of the £2 I still need, then thats me fully up to date on that, as well as the 50p, £1's. Just need that new £1 for the book.

Well I got my second Edinburgh £1 coin today in my change. Tomorrow sees the introduction of the new 12 sided pound coin, so I am extremely happy to get this coin

There's a reason why the 2016 coin is better than the 2017 coin and therefore worth more money. It's because the 2016 coin is worth 1 pound at pre-Brexit vote value, and the 2017 coin is worth 1 pound at post-Brexit vote value. It's true....

I'm staying in a hotel in Yorkshire today and have just received a 2017 dated bimetallic pound coin in change - my first 2017 British coin of any denomination.

Yorkshire seems to be lucky for me. I changed a £20 note for 50p coins in a bank in Skipton and got my first ever Squirrel Nutkin, plus a 2011 Olympics Cycling coin. That's a coin I've never personally found in circulation before, although a friend gave me one back in 2012.

Received in change today: a 2012 Gibraltar 20p and a rather crude fake 2000 pound coin - badly aligned and with the edge inscription 'Decus Et Tutamen':

I was helping out at a stall at a model railroad fair last weekend. We got about ten round pound coins and one of them was a 1999 Isle of Man one, which I saved for my collection. Even though the IOM is not withdrawing its round pounds, it will be impossible to get them in change in mainland Britain after the end of this week.
Has anybody had any 2017 GB coins in change, other than the pound? I've heard of people getting the Newton 50p, but I haven't had any 2017 coins of any denomination yet.
