There's also a few videos on youtube to show how they're made. My girlfriend's birthday is next month so this may be a good idea. Do you size the ring by just opening it up to the size of the finger after it's beveled?

how we did this one was cut a hole in the middle of the coin about the size of the finger and then we used a press to bend the coin like a cup kind of shape and then slid it on something tapered and round and started working it to make it the shape of the ring. If you go to google and type in "how to make a dual sided coin ring" about the 4th link should be a .pdf file and it shows you exactly how to do it

it was a problem coin and that is the only reason I chose it. It was harshly cleaned on the Obverse. Still I have to say it did feel wrong when I was cutting and grinding it. I used a 1970-S Kennedy half for the other ring just because I couldn't get myself to cut up a 1970-D

I would love to have something like this as my wedding band. Not sure how I would go about picking the right coin, or getting someone to make it.

yours could be her birth year and hers cold be your birth year. You can get them polished on the outside and have the dates on the inside

I think my next one will be a 1878 if I make another one. I have quite a few VAM-83's laying around in xf-AU condition. I have to admit it was real hard when I first started drilling into it but once it was drilled I knew there was no reason to stop then
