I received two 2010 Presidential proof sets today and one is perfect and the second has a surface problem on two of the coins. The Lincoln and the Pierce dollars have noticeable bubbling on the surface of the coin in the fields adjacent to the bust on the obverse. I tried to scan this to show it but was unable to clearly show this.

My question is has anyone else experienced this and is it worth sending them back to the mint for coins without the bubbles.

I had problems with heavy spotting on a Presidential dollar Proof in 2 different sets last year. You need to pay the return shipping and insurance and don't know for sure the ones they resend will not have problems. I just kept them.

Many members here will keep sending their order back until they receive a problem free coin or Set.
Quality control at the Mint has been a frequent topic here. Perhaps if enough folks "send it back" they may begin to fire some people who don't care, or at least force them to take notice and make better quality products more often.

I had a 09 set that I sent back due to the same problems and received a new "much better" set. Send them back...and good luck.
