Yes, for the 95% copper cents. Four- one year only reverse designs. 50 years of same reverse followed by 50 years of same reverse= once in a hundred year opportunity.

Not for the p&d nickels and dimes. Those will be satin finish and the premium is on business strikes in my opinion. I do agree the cents that are 95% copper are going to be a good collector coin since they are only available in the sets.

I think they will be a lot like the bicentennial quarters were. Aside from the difference in mintage's, People were buying them up like crazy, which will mean a flood of them in 5-10 years. However the Bicentennial quarters are starting to become a little harder to find.

I believe that the new collectors brought in by Statehood Quarters are responsible for this.

Overall, popularity of the entire Washington quarter series increased as these new collectors branched out. The increased values of 1932~1998 quarters tend to support this.

I speculate that a fair number of these new collectors added the bicentennial quarters to their sets even if they did not collect the rest of the 1932~1998 series. They see them as "special" collectibles like the Statehood Quarters. Being new collectors, they are probably unaware of the high mintage and low value.

If and when a lot of these Statehood Quarter sets are dumped back into circulation, you will see an increase of bicentennial quarters. I wonder if there will also be increased finds with the reset of the 1932~1998 series.

Those are not the "elusive" ones......as others have said, these are the regular business strikes that are "elusive", not the Satin Finish Uncirculated Mint Set ones.

I still dump the bi-centennials back into circulation.....I search a lot of quarters and tend to see quite a few.....most of these '76's are in fair to average condition.
They certainly have an honored place in filling a hole.....but nothing beyond that for me.

I bought a couple of each to include in my rosy and jefferson set; however, I did get my first rosy in circulation today. First on in the wild that I have seen.
