Is anyone buying these. I picked up a roll yesterday at my bank.
Broke it open, seems like a lot of MS 63/64 with a couple MS 64/65.

Is anyone else buying them like this?

Don't have an Franklin Pierce yet, but in all the President rolls I've gone through, MS-65 are few are and far between.

My bank always gets me a roll....then I'll pick the best three or four out of the roll. I put those into a couple date set folders...also one for the daughter and one sent to the Nephew....then I order the Proofs from the Mint for a Proof only album.
This is now standard operating proceedure each and every time.

I'm not doing a P&D folder or album.

I opened a roll. I don't see a lot of choice MS coins in mine.

I think,as a group, these are the ugliest coins ever produced! Even Susan B. Anthony looks like a beauty pageant candidate next to this creepy looking lot!

The vending machine co where I work puts uncirculated rolls of Presidential dollars into their change machines. about once a week or so I'll drop a fiver into it and see what I get. I have gotten all releases from them so far. Ast all look like they would probably grade at least MS 65, with the exception of some that have rim dings from the machine.

If I were to bury a time capsule to be opened in 100 years, I'd include an uncirculated set of the President dollars. Likely the people looking at the coins then would wonder what kind of wacky tabaccy the US Mint was smoking. Doesn't matter if the good ones in the roll are 64/65, the Fillmore and Pierce coins are the ugliest ones so far, and Buchanan isn't far behind. Harrison was the only ** bad ** coin last year, and Lincoln will probably be the only ** good ** coin this year. Still it will be the "poor" commemorative compared to the majestic Lincoln Bicentennial dollar.
