Ok, so is it just me or does the Queen look evil? Something to do with the eyes, also, the bear doesn't look right to me. Now, I see the ring is off slightly, would that be of any value?

Hi Susan, I'm sure someone will be along that can help you better than I can,my eyes just don't zoom in to well on these types of things. You might try posting this in variety and errors too, since you like error coins you may really enjoy this section of our forums :) I guess she does look a little testy hahahaha :) sn31.

It's harder to find a perfectly circled ring than one like this. No premium.

Yeah, I've seen a lot of them, I'm guessing the only ones that would be worth something would be the one's that are really off. How about the evil queen? LOL

It does seem the Queen Elizabeth's likeness is not as clear and crisp as they were when she was younger. Perhaps they have a new designer who is not capturing her as she ages properly. It looks like the bear is sniffing her when you see the pics side by side. Sorry...it must be the heat getting to me.
I like the likeness of QEII and Victoria on their earlier coins much better.
Why do they call it a "Twoonie"?

[OO!] I dunno, because the 1$ coins were called "loonies" because of the loons, so it was a natural progression to Twoonie or toonie I guess. :)

Susan,I have a 2003 25c. coin from Canada. That portrait of our Queen is terrible. We have a pleasant natural design on our coins by Ian Rank-Broadly,which is the same as on the British & Aussie coins.

I was told by my friend that all queens have to approve any portrait used on a coin We cannot understand how some portraits were ever approved
