this is really good. I'm not following some of the carry over logic yet but I will more spend time to look it over in detail. I can tell that my brain (and no comments please) just doesn't work this way. I thought I was a pretty logical person but I guess not. I'm not seeing some of these 'jumps' as clearly as you have defined them. Yikes!

I have the same trouble, weavus.. it's not that we aren't logical thinkers (we do mastermind, you know.. lol) but for some reason our brains take longer to wrap around things like this (at least, mine does.. ) I'm going to have to sit down with pencil & paper and work out the above puzzle by hand.. *then* I might get it.

For example, let's look at this grid where we have just confirmed that Sarasota is the Summer show: Looking down the Sarasota column we see that Indian head and Lincoln Cent has been ruled out as a possibility. Since we know that Sarasota is the Summer row, we can transfer the eliminations across the Summer row to the right and eliminate Indian Head and Lincoln there. In some cases, you will have information eliminated down (column) and different information eliminated (across), which will allow you to reduce or even isolate (or confirm) an item. Which (sometimes) you might not be able to do without transferring the info. As an example, you may have eliminated Indian Head and Lincoln down, and previously have eliminated Mercury dime across, and if you don't compare the two, you wouldn't realize that you have confirmed Buffalo without it. I'll try to find a better example later if you still need more visual help.

I'm getting there. I don't think it is your examples that are lacking... I cannot really spend all of the time thinking these through at work. They have this policy here that says 'if you are going to get paid to work here, then you might want to consider doing some work'. I persoanlly think that is way over the top and demanding but I do need to eat. And even though a scooby snack may be tasty (if I actually ever get one), I don't think I can feed the wife and me on them.

This one is fun and will make you think on the 4 snack level: Bored one day, little Freddy decided to cut up four different pictures of animals into four sections (head, body, legs and feet), then reassemble them so that each "new" picture had the body parts of a different animal. Based on the clues, can you determine how the pictures were assembled? 1. The giraffe's legs are now attached to rhino's body. 2. The lion's head is now on the same picture as the giraffe's feet. Set your grid up like this:
