The search is on, but I am not expecting many more to be found. I am still going to look though.

Gene, I think the shock of a possible new find on the B1 reverse is what nonplussed so many. In retrospect, I think the whole situation was handled well. It was certainly a wonderful outcome.
People ask why VAM? This situation is as good an answer as any, actually better than most.

I have been told the FUN show is when we will get an idea of how hard this one will be to find, and from what I hear its going to be a who's who smorgasbord looking for them

I personally do not think the FUN show is an indicator of any kind, I do believe the coin, if more are out there are and could be Anywhere.........

The fact that many people have not found more has many possibilities, I believe it could be at the next local show you attend,It could be, there are NOT more to be found, which I do NOT believe is the answer, either way Good Luck to All......PS, Any wagers no one at the FUN show finds one?

I was just repeating what was told to me. They said after the FUN show they will have a better idea of how many are out there. If none are found there then there is a good chance its going to be really hard to find everywhere considering there are usually a couple VAM-44's each year on sale there and all other VAM's and all the big VAMers will be there together and looking for VAM's. a writer from Coin World has contacted me wanting to do a article about it which will also increase the people searching for one so if they are out there hopefully they will be found. Please if anyone does find one let us know no matter where they are found or in what condition

I agree. I think all of them should be looked at (especially the DMPL and PL ones) that are attributed as VAM-80 because that is what I thought this coin was when it was purchased from the photos. I got it to replace the 63pl VAM-80 in my #1 Registry set and it was SuperDave that brought up the question about the reverse before I had ever received the coin

Yes it is! I got the Nov. 22nd issue yesterday and thought this was a CCF member's find, but it doesn't mention CCF in the article.

So Bryan, are you the famous (or infamous) Kenneth Robb?
