nice googoo! You get pretty good results from quarters. What is you overall average per box?

1 per a box is usually all I get and usually get that every 2 boxes maybe.
I have been on a little run here
4 in the last 4 boxes
1 skunk box in there of course with the 2 I found this week
Persistence helps. I had a drought for maybe 3-5 boxes, so sometimes its a little rough. But there is always something nice to pull out of 500 dollars worth of quarters

I got a box yesterday and it was a big ole skunk.
I did grab 4 ATB Quarters though so it wasn't a total loss. I love those coins a lot

I thing the ATB Quarters are prettier than the State Quarters. Is too bad people are so burnt out from the State Quarters or I think these would be a lot more popular

I dont know if I am the unluckiest guy on earth or if every ones a bunch o liars lol :).

But I've searched 12 boxes of halves, with another box in loose halves from tellers and about 400 big dollars. All I ever got from all that was 1 40% Kennedy half...

question: while looking at the territories quarters I noticed that the "D" mintmark seemed extra large. Is it really bigger, or is it an illusion somehow. Anyone know any information about the mintmark on the denver minted territories coins?

Yeah, the mintmark on these quarters (as well as possibly the other coins; I'm not sure) is different and a little bigger than the ones on the original set of State Quaters.
The new mintmarks were first used on the Territorial quarters in 2009.

hmmm I wish I could find a 40% silver half when searching a box of quarters

I know what you mean about searching half dollars though, they are really hit or miss for me too

The only box I searched was a skunk ! I found total of about 50 silver quarters in 6 years but all from loose rolls or register from my wife's work and btw I started work as a cashier and received a 64d from a customer last friday . I remember my wife found a roll with a 1930s slq on the end but it was a luck of a lifetime lol ! I dont think quarter make to the roll machines , its picked before by the tellers , cashiers as soon as the random people spend them in my opinion !.

Nothing too special, but when I went to the bank today to get a box of dimes, I saw 8 shiny quarters in the tray. Obviously not silver but I figured they were probably ATB Quarters. I was surprised that they weren't, they were 2008 d oklahoma quarters. All were brand new like they came from the mint. absolutely no scratches and no other marks. they were beautiful.

Nice rachums. Win win because both parties were probably really happy.

so I got back into getting boxes after a month off
I got 5 ATBs
no silver
no proofs
but I am now starting to fill a dansco album with my finds!
I purchased it about a week ago. I need to look up information about how to grade Washington quarters, but I am being pretty stingy with what I am putting in from 1965-1998
The silver coins in the album are just whatever I can find in circulation.
Next post I will start the hole countdown!
If no one else will keep this thread going, I guess it will be all me
Love pre State Quarters washington design
