Zip today. My first skunk at Coinstar hunting

coinstars I visit are usually empty.

Today

1 2007 peso, if this keeps up I might start a peso collection.
1 gold eagle coin....that says no cash value on the other side

and another 'silver' token the other day.

as I was about to leave a security guard came by and dumped, the first in a long time to not clean out the reject bin. Found another 3 zinc LMC for some reason.

this machine might not be good for anything of substantial value but it is a surprisingly decent source of low value foreign coins and tokens.

Good coin counter day for me today - both in grocery store banks. TCF has branches in the local Jewel stores that generally have a bank owned coin counter and an unrelated Coin Star branded machine. Last week, I ran the receipt tape out printing my half dollar dump out and it took about 20 minutes to fix. My reward: around $7 that had fallen through the gap in the tray. Same bank today gave up a Sac in the bank coin counter and about $0.75 in the coin star. The teller actually said he was glad to see me because I always buy all the half and dollar coins when I come in. He asked me about silver and I didn't have the heart to tell him that I bought a Proof 63 Franklin at that same bank last year.

I also stopped at another grocery store on the way home and plucked a 64D dime out of the coinstar there. I never go out of my way to look, but it does pay to look when you're around!

I found a $1 peso coin and a chuck token.
My son was excited. I always feel odd looking
in the reject bin and on and around the machine.
But, I still look.

I have been reading this thread for a while. Every time I am in a grocery store and see a Coinstar I check it. To date, I have never found anything. But, I am happy for everyone's fortune. Will keep looking.

I had a huge score at a bank I frequent. I found some good finds before, but this tops all of them:

*Four £1 coins from England, as well as two 5p coins.
*$1.11 in Canadian coins (2 quarters, 5 dimes, 2 nickels, and 1 penny).
*50¢ in pennies, nickels and dimes (Including a very nice '41-D Lincoln that looks to be AU, and a very corroded Buffalo. It was so corroded that even Nic-a-Date can't restore the date on it).
*Many foreign coins, one from Israel, one from France (before they adopted the Euro), the Netherlands, and a 20 peso coin from Mexico.

^nice score. I had some luck again today. 2005 £1, 1999 British one penny, a "no cash value" token, a 1986 Belgium 5 franc, 1964 Canada 5 cent (not the good one) and an unknown middle eastern 10 whatever.

One of those strange tokens that looks like a Prez dollar but feels more insubstantial and has a vignette on the other side.

Good finds yesterday at Vons. I went to dump my remaining searched nickels into the machine and apparently the person before me didn't check the reject slot. Got a handful of U.S. dimes and pennies,(nothing special)two 2-cent Euros and two 1 cent Euros. I thought I had two of each; they're really thick coins!

I've managed to find a few pennies and a couple of foreign coins, but nothing too exciting.
Rest in Peace

few skunks in a row, then a dime and three zincolns all at once.

I figure I can pay off the national debt in just 412,465,037,672,109 years.
