Finally! After a long drought - a 1956 Roosevelt. The only thing better than silver at face is free silver!

The only thing better than silver at face is free silver! It's been about two months since I found anything at all and even longer since my last silver. I think there must be other folks checking.

It's all a matter of being there at the right moment. I think it's been nearly a year since I found a '64 Roosevelt. My last score before this was a dryer dime and a rotten zincoln about two months ago.

Been a couple of months. Found a 1991 UK 5 pence today. Goes into my foreign coin bottle. Thought, for a second, it had a Cud, but it was just PMD.

Stopped in the local supermarket at lunch today and pulled a 64-D Roosevelt out of the reject bin. I'm on a roll...

Last time I went to the supermarket I found one dime, one nickel, and one penny all common dates.

I always look in the Coinstar tray as I walk past at the local Kroger. Last Friday I noticed a penny, and when I picked it up it was a 1952 D Wheat penny. Having several already, I laid it back on the machine. Hopefully we'll have a new member here soon!

Maybe we should combine this thread and the one from the coin roll hunting board. I've participated in both. I found coins two days this week after a long drought. A 1947 dime one day and three Canadian quarters and a 1949 cent the next day. Hope the next drought won't be as long. Link to the other thread: https://goccf.com/t/128850&whichpage=11

I found a 2013 D dime last time I went. Hopefully silver next time!

Today's find was a little less stellar, a poor mans magician coin - a 1985 dime glued to a 1991 cent.

So tonight I walked by the local coinstar machine, I've never found anything in the return tray, not once in many years of looking. But tonight I saw two lonely coins sitting there grabbed them out put them in my pocket and when I got home I looked at them, on quarter 1935 beat to heck, and a really dirty dryer dime, no silver as it was a 1990-D. But first time finding anything and I scored some 90% silver yay! Felt good, as I almost covered the ice cream purchase tonight with that find, LOL.

I went to two stores today and both have a Coinstar. The first one yielded a 2011 Canadian dime and the second one gave me a 2001 Canadian cent. Then, walking to my car from the second store (where I got the cent), I found another 2000 Canadian dime in the parking lot. Did Canada invade and not tell anyone?

2007 Canadian penny on the floor next to the machine yesterday and a rusted 1943 cent in the reject tray the day before.
Enough to keep me looking.
