Today's find was a 1976 nickel, a 1973D penny, a 1946 Wheat penny and a 2003 1 euro cent from Spain.

Found a 1975 .50 centavos Mexican coin today. Hitting all over North America lately. Maybe next time I will finally find some US silver.

Two days ago Three Cents in the reject tray 69D and 2 ZLincs. Today I found this lot: All were on top except the 2009 Lincoln which had been rejected. That adds up to 7,500 Ecuador Sucres and half a Guilder, both of which have been demonetized, a Canadian 1979 dime and a 2009 cent. Pretty amazing since I can go through a $25 box of cents without finding a 2009.

I found a Denver ATB White Mtn quarter and Denver Georgia State Quarter. My first Coinstar find. I have been looking for a while and today I got lucky. When I went to buy my lottery tickets today, I asked the clerk if they had any coin dollars. They did and I left with 5 1979 SBA's.

Mostly I just find a couple of coins, one silver dime though and I also found two $1 tokens from a mid state casino in Neveda, I think these were in the trashcan next to the coinstar.

I found a dirty old ZLinc early last week and two days ago my wife found a decent 1940P wheat.
Not much these days and I suspect there really was something to my guess of the person cleaning out the machine being out for a couple of weeks this past summer when I was finding a bunch of stuff.
I ran a bunch of shopping errands yesterday and checked out four machines with zero to show for the effort.

Have only found 1 hit so far but it did pay dividends...I found a beat up 1964 washington silver quarter and a 1967 40% silver Kennedy half...this was like 5 months ago...and haven't had any luck since then.

The other day at the grocery store, I spotted some coins on the floor at the COinstar machine, I picked them up they were stock together but I noticed some older dimes, when I got home I clear them, they were stuck with some type of syrup? Turned out to be 54cents, no silver which is what I hoped for

Went to the grocery about a half hour later than usual today. Two silver dimes and four other coins. And Ben Franklin says nice things about being the early bird? No wonder he was Poor Richard.

After seeing this thread, began checking Coinstars. Checked my second machine today and found a clad Roosevelt dime with a little crud on it. Not much, but I'm excited:-)

My wife is getting into the swing with this lot today: I'd gone by the same machine earlier today. I'm proud of her.

Found 47 cents worth of us clad and cents today, all left at the machine with some type of sticky substance on them, I am not sure why coins get so messy. Cleaned the coins but didn't find any silver, but I will continue to take people's messy coins, hopefully if this happens again I will find something collectable
