The coinstar was busy on Wednesday I'm guessing because of the holidays I'll check it every hour. At one point there's was a line, but when I checked the reject bin no coins to be had. Finally after my shift ended I was able to scoop these rejects. It's amazing to me that some one walk away from a $1.94.

No silver since November, but today I picked up $3.37 face value in US coins from my usual machine. I just about filled up a pocket. Since November, in total, I've found 8 quarters, 14 dimes, 10 nickels, 57 zinc Lincolns, 13 copper Memorial Lincolns and 4 wheaties, $4.64 total to go into my Christmas time Salvation Army collection jar. (I sub-out for the copper cents) Also 1 Canadian quarter, 3 Canadian dimes, a 1974 Canadian penny, a 20 UK pence piece, one five cent Euro, and two one cent Euros, and a Trinidad and Tobago cent.

I love Coinstar machines! I've found a couple 1943 steel pennies, a couple small European coins, several Canadian coins and a washer!

Nice little score today at Kroger. Was walking by the Coinstar machine and noticed the change return completely filled with various coins. A good mixture of quarters, pennies and dimes. No silver coins, but about $5.00 total that someone just left behind! Not sure what caused them to be rejected, but I did notice some plaster-type residue on a few of the quarters.

Ended my 6 month silver drought yesterday with a dime. Actually, I've hardly found anything in two months and then Wednesday and Friday picked up some things in three different machines. Within the last two weeks my wife has found a 1941 quarter and a 1943S nickel in change and I've had a 1918 cent in change. Amazing how streaky this is. Sorry about the reverse of the penny. Looks like that '87 cent spent some time in a dryer.

Why did we dig up a dead thread? There is already a living one in the main coin section.

Last night I found a couple of coins in the reject coins. I grabbed them and glanced at them. I noticed one was a Canadian quarter and I was kind of disappointed. When I got home and got a better look at them the small coin is a well worn 1923 Polish 5 groszy coin. I looked at the quarter and the date was 1966! Free silver!

Front of machine toward the bottom. You can't miss it.

Found a '62 Dime in a coinstar in LA last night. The second silver dime after checking this particular machine in frequently. Might have to make CVS a must stop when I am in that neighborhood.
