about a month ago I collected $16.40 out of a reject slot of a coinstar in a local w-mart. Mostly quarters.

I saw the glint of clad and when I put my hand in I thought, "Wow, this is a pocketful".

Nothing collectible but it was all spendable.

Now my wife is always trying to beat me to the machines.

I found these two in the Coinstar machine at the beer store today.

It seems the only silver I find is dimes (3 or 4 to date)

I'd rather find a silver dime than $20 in modern change.

I'd rather take the $20 in loose change and buy numerous silver dimes.

when I found that $16.40, I kept looking around thinking that someone was going to arrest me for stuffing the change in my pocket.

What a strange feeling to find that much in a wallyworld coinstart reject slot, and people were walking by it.

It's easy to buy a dime. Anybody can do it. All they need is money. Finding a silver coin in circulation is special and like finding a treasure. Buying coins is fine, but finding one in circulation is much more rewarding.

Found 34 cents in a coinstar last night... Nothing spectacular, but it is 34 more cents that I didn't have...

Yes, and as the saying goes - you get what you get and you don't get upset! I'd be happy finding $20 as well, many silver dimes you can buy. I know buying isn't as much fun, but $20 at one time is a lot!
