Found this in one the other day...my wife was embarrassed when I grabbed it out if the machine...I think it was worth her embarrassment.
Well worth it for an excellent find!

My 8 y/o son just pulled a 2004-S proof Washington out of one of our local Coinstars maybe 20 minutes ago! I don't understand why it would have been kicked into the reject bin in the first place. It's clad. Anyone have any ideas on that AFAIK the weight is the same so what would cause it to be rejected?

I saw a cent laying on the floor in front of the Coinstar machine this morning. In the reject slot were 2 foreign cents.

my son got $.78 Friday from the reject bin. It was no silver and all the coins were clean and in great shape. Don't know why it kicked them out. The only one that was out of the ordinary was a plastic play penny.
Saturday he found a quarter on the soccer field after his game. He is all about finding free money!

The one on the floor was the lookout. You caught them. Very nice!

Alright then, you've convinced me to take a look in the reject bin. And I found a jackpot! A 2007 1 Euro cent with a stylized R F & a theatrical mask with streamers, a 2007 five cent Canadian, a 1986 ten cent Canadian, a Family Amusement Center token, a 1980 bent and scratched new penny Britain, a 1974 Lincoln one cent and a 2006 Lincoln one cent. The US cents were in excellent shape don't know why they would get kicked out. From now on, I'll check the bin!

Had to stop and get oil at Wal-mart and the machine is right by the exit so I looked over. Could just see one coin looked like a dirty penny. reached in and got a hand full of change. Totaled one dollar in quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies. All Clad and only one dime from Canada. Looks like the oil was on sale!! It was one dollar off!

found a bunch of coins in the reject trays over the past few weeks. One haul was a few clad quarters and a 63-d dime. another haul was a bit more exciting, my 4 year old daughter was so happy to walk up to the coinstar and see about 50 pennies sitting in the reject tray. I gave them all to her to fill up her piggy bank.
