woohoo another year besides 1878. maybe I will be able to join in on this one.....Nope already see it (this one is rather easy since there aren't a whole lot of VAM's listed for this date/MM combination)

yeah I am, I was just a little excited to see a different date and then I looked closer and said "AHH Man!" I can't join in here either because it will be over before it starts. I will keep checking for one I can research along side of the others (believe me I am just getting lucky on the past few that have been posted because I have examples of them all)

Well, let's take it from the top. Normal date placement, second 8 might be high. No distinguishing die cracks. At least a single clash obverse and what might be a double clash reverse. No obvious doubling.

Almost every variety for this year centers on the date; methinks we need a closeup there.

there appears to be a clash at the neck, about 7 or so varieties with an N clash and others with no letter transfer.

Yes; we're trying to illustrate the process of attribution for those who are reading but not participating.

yes, that is the forefront of VAM-IT. to share in our views so that others can follow our attribution insites,,many years secrets are hidden and in this thread we like to point out the minor details or PUP's so others can learn...not just a guess but the reasons why. It helps us all..
