My experience is same as RPT.

I put a set in my cart and this morning got a "having problems" email.

Went back to step 2/4, and it removed it from the cart.

Called the toll-free number and acted dumb. Lady asked if I got an email, I said no. She explained what we all know. I asked if they would reopen orders, she said if they have any sets left.

Fooey.

This has got to be a pain for all the APs, considering all the questions and paperwork they need to deal with in order to sell 25 ounces at bullion price.

Did anyone see this?
HSN is selling a 2010 MS70 5 oz. National Parks Silver Bullion Set of 5 CoinsItem: 129-312; Graded "perfect" by ANACS.
at the low, low price of . . . . . (think drum roll)

HSN Price: $21,999.95 + 68.95 s/h for a Grand Total of $22,068.90.
The really funny thing is it also says "Almost Sold Out", but I guess if there is only 1 then that would be true.

Bryan1234,

When did you get your check into fidelitrade? I received an email saying they received my check but no word since, just wondering.

Anyone use Prudential? I pulled the forms off and will try my luck with them. However, the paperwork, information required and terms are ridiculous. It sucks to open an account and send in a large check without knowing whether they have any to buy. On top of that, it will be 5-6 weeks before I know anything...

That's the biggest failure with the AP system. I can appreciate the gubmint not wanting to deal with changing market prices year round and hundreds of thousands of accounts to keep track of, but coin dealers are ridiculously efficient at this kind of sales.

When AGE were introduced, there wasn't a coin dealer in the US with high enough net worth to buy direct, even though many were making markets in krands. Instead, the could be bought by people like Amex, whose only interest in them was to charge a $50 premium, and avoid buying any of them back unless at a substantial discount.

Side questions:
1) What are your plan(s) on storing these 5oz coins?
2) Which kind/size of Air-Tite holder will fit these? These are 3" diameter right?
3) Where to buy such supplies? At what cost?

Bruce,
1. In direct fit air-tites for my raw set. Then inside plastic tubes, which I'm still in the hunt for. The original 5-coin tube will not fit an encapsulated coin. My other NGC-graded set went on it's own shelf.
2. Z5 is the model number for the air-tite holder.
3. Wizard's, JP's, Brooklyn Gallery all carry the Z5, each holder is $1.99 MSRP with discounts available.

Pru is indicating a sell out by tomorrow, so you should be okay. They have notified me by phone that my orders (some through family members) are approved, within a week of receiving my personal check.
