Thanks foxwoods man.I will send in my best ones and specify minimum grades on the form and still get the first strike designations do I have to specify on the form to have them give the pl or dmpl attribute if its part of the condition ?

If you specify minimum grades and they do not meet that grade you will get raw coins back (and still have to pay the grading fee). They will not grade the coins just as First Strike...that is for bulk submitters only.
Since you are going to pay the fee, and are sending in your best coins, just let them grade them and hope for the best. PL/DMPL will be designated if they qualify and nothing need be done on your part on the form.
If you are submitting BU FS slabbed coins for a numerical grade they WILL be taken out of the slab before grading (so they can see the edges). With minimum grades you will get back raw coins.

Foxwoods Man I thougt all along that only the a-mark coins slabbed choice bu qualified for the first strike designation upon sending them in for numerical grades after you told me all of them do I googled it and cant believe I missed that pcgs declared all of them as first stike after following this series so close I haven't opened any boxes yet I was going to wait until I received the others and then figure out what to do next I was thinking along the lines of the 2006(20th anniversary) a.s.e. sets were we weren't suppose to open the boxs to get the f/s

JH initially sent out no slabbed coins. Now almost all JH orders have a minimum of 3 slabbed.

ANY other Mint issue has date cut offs for First Strike but the way this one was sold by the AP's made it impossible to tell which ones came from the early dies. In my opinion FS on this issue is bogus BUT it does add to the resale value...and for no good reason.
I'm sure PCGS is loving it since they now can get the extra $18 on every puck sent in. No extra effort on their part to print 2 words on a label...

I'm tired of the outrageous fees by PCGS. I will only send in my 8 free coins a year and maybe a few other but I doubt it.

MCM Courtecy opportunity for a quick flip whoever's interested.

Dear ModernCoinMart / JMRC Customer,

Here are the step by step ordering instructions for the 2010 America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin -- Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas (NP1) from the US Mint:

1) If you have not set up an online account with the United States Mint, we suggest doing so before Thursday. This will put you in "ready to go" mode. While the mintage of this coin is 27,000, it still could sell out very quickly. Here is the link:

http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...alogId=10001

Please click on the "Create My Account" button and proceed from there. The U.S. Mint accepts all major credit cards. Having an account with the US Mint will simplify and speed up the ordering process.

2) On Thursday, April 28 at noon please go to

http://catalog.usmint.gov/webapp/wc...06&langId=-1

to place your order for one of the 2010 America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin -- Hot Springs National Park , Arkansas (NP1). Expect the website to be very slow going for the first few hours as this is typical during new product launches.

3) After successfully placing the order, please e-mail your order confirmation number to britta@moderncoinmart.com. At this time, you are confirmed with us. Your credit card will not be charged by the U.S. Mint until the order will be shipped.

4) When the coin arrives, please overnight the coin to us the very same or next business day via USPS Express Mail shipping including insurance to the following address:

JMRC, Inc.

5565 Broadcast Court

Sarasota, FL 34240

941-907-8050

If you live in the Sarasota area, you can also set up a delivery time instead of shipping the coin to us.

5) We will issue your check upon receipt of the coin and mail it out no later than the next business day by first class mail. The amount of your check will be your cost plus $75 ($50 plus $25 express mail reimbursement). We have never had a situation where a customer did not receive our payment BEFORE their credit card bill was due.

Please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Britta Schaa

Controller

Although you can't get ATB 5oz coins graded cheap, I just sent in 4 BU Morgans under an "Economy" submission for $18 each. With the handling fee and round trip insured shipping my total was just over $100. "Modern" is $14/coin. I don't want to get this thread side-tracked but there are some options that are cheaper than you might think for "regular" coins.

BH1964 or Foxwoods Man: Assuming I join with a PCGS Annual Platinum Membership. Will the free submissions for ATBs come with a $20 fee each for oversized holder?

Your free submissions do NOT cover the oversized holder fee...just the grading fee is covered (add $18 if you want the FS designation)

It's actually $34/coin. Save yourself $18/coin and don't bother with the First Strike designation. It is not worth getting on these pieces and likely just a waste of your money. NGC charges $25/each for their oversized holders on top of whatever submission level you choose.
