Rawmeat - Walter is the same person who emailed me back saying they had sets. What did you ask that had him Make you call him? From everything I've read, people get their sets, albeit, very slowly. I don't mind waiting if it means I can avoid the premium. They ask you to jump through a lot of hoops, but it wasn't too bad. Hopefully the rest of the transaction goes smoothly.

I am surprised that there is no sellout of the 2010 P's and I wonder if there are a lot of duplicate orders which the mint weeding out OR folks have had their fill with the bullion version.

My bet is they are sold out right now. People have already received notice of cancelled orders due to being duplicates. The orders today on are for the waiting list. JMO.

A US Mint Cust.Service Rep, told me May 12th for the release of Yellowstone. Still not updated on the Mint's 2011 Product list. Time will tell. I'm in for another one, if on Wed or Thursday the Mint has more to sell of Hot Springs.

Interesting. Now the expected ship date on the Hot Springs coin is 5/15, at least for the orders placed on the 28th. The ATB 5 oz. program has been about jumping through multiple hoops thus far. Wouldn't be surprised if Yellowstone is suddenly available for ordering on the 12th with no announcement this time.

So I am wondering, since we all paid $284 for the first coin, do you all think the numismatic version will hold it's value if the price of silver goes all the way down to something like $15-$20 /oz? I know they will be worth it 50 years from now, but I am just thinking about 1-5 years from now? Does anyone have experience with or know of other PM coins that were low mintage?

"low mintage" is a relative term. 30k is a bunch of a coin that doesn't fit anything standard, and with few exceptions, commems (especially modern commems) sell at a discount a few years after issue.
My recommendation would be pick a profit and when you can find a buyer at that price, flip the coin with an eye to buy it back cheaper within five years. IMO, the pucks are just a gimmick where the mint has found they can get more for their silver than by making eagles.

If the intrinsic value of the coin drops to $75-100 I would assume the numismatic value would drop accordingly....UNLESS...this series takes off and demand extends past this low mintage year. Then...look out Oh, and I do NOT see the metal ever seeing that level again....but, that's just me.

Yeah the prices probably won't go that low, but I suppose having to wait two weeks to get this coin in my hands is making me think of all these things.

I agree with Ceylon62, I actually never figured this 1st collectors coin would still be according to the you s mints site, still available.
I also do not see this coin losing it;s value even if the price of silver drops, it has a lot going for it, the 2st coin with the Mint mark, The mintage of 27,000 is not really all that high according to Today's standards, the Lincoln Coin and Chronicles set had a mintage of 50,000 and was sold out before the 3rd day was over, of course this is just my opinion....... I believe the coin will hold its value, the original price paid, and then some.......

After seeing your post about e-mailing to see if they still had plenty, I just did the same, and he said something like "Yes, call me at ####" I thought it was odd, so I called. Also, sorry everyone, I mailed my check for this on Saturday, so I am pretty sure I sent silver down 6/ounce this evening/morning already. I'm cursed.

I am trying to figure out what this means, Bizybackson writes,
" there are only 60,000 of each design in both options (27k/33k)."
What exactly does the 27/33 mean please.....I know the 27 means 27,000 coins were made with the collectors mint mark.I think that 27,000 were made in UNC?

There were 33,000 of the 2010 Bullion made and there were (will be) 27,000 of the numismatic version with the "P" mintmark made.
