There are 2 different types of status to look at on the mint's website. My order status says: Your order request is on hold. My item status says: In stock and reserved

The $629 is indeed way out there price wise. The slab will save you $18 for FS if you decide to spend another $100 (fees + shipping) to actually get them graded.
Right now the 2 coins are $502.30 at Provident/$492.70 at Gainsville/APMEX $525.80 (cash/check/wire price)

Looks like they aren't sold out yet.
"A sell out of the Hot Springs 5 Ounce Silver Uncirculated Coin produced for coin collectors could be called within days, based on the latest sales figures.
The United States Mint has indicated that approximately 25,000, or 92.5%, of the available 27,000 have been sold as of late afternoon Monday, May 2."

Fidelitrade just cashed my check for the first set of five today. I ordered two coins from the mint but one was canceled the other will ship by 5/16 according to the website. Funny thing is I bet I get the two new coins I over paid for via APMEX before I get the first five in the set.

Quote: My item status says: In stock and reserved Means you've been counted and will be sent a coin pending receipt of payment. Whether it happens tomorrow or the 12th or the 17th is anybody's guess, three week turn around time is really fast for the Mint. Usually my orders take nearly a month to be processed and delivered.

My order status: "On hold" My item status: "In Stock and Reserved" Just a waiting game now. Question... how have people been storing and/or displaying these massive discs? I will probably just end up squirreling them away in the safe, but it would be nice to display from time to time.

Does the nice little black box come with the Hot Springs P? I didn't see an option to buy it while ordering. Did I just miss it?

There was a gift box clearly listed on the one you buy from the mint. I was gonna ask if anyone paid extra for it.

Yes, the black box comes with the coin and does not cost extra. biggfredd is referring to "gift packaging" and that does cost extra.

Silver is a heated retreat now, I wonder how far down she'll go? Sure makes the Hot Springs coin less attractive now. If this slide continues at least the next release should be cheaper than $279.95...

I called this drop to happen in another post somewhere. I stated my theory that the govt would green light the banks to knock silver down, AFTER they sold this. The following Sunday is when the hits started.

Agreed. Plus which coin would you rather have HS or Yosemite? I think people thought this would sell out in one day, and it's still available a week later. Plus if you order now, who's returned reject might you get?

Looks like some of those "P" mint quarters have indeed been mailed. Someone has their's listed on ebay as "IN HAND - READY TO SHIP!" Also the same person is advertising it as Sold Out at the US Mint, with a long wait list. Probably true, but as of right now the Mint hasn't released any such information, only that 25,000 had been sold in the last figure release couple of days ago. The Mint website is still selling these coins (no specific mention of being waitlisted, only the general explaining which has been there since day one). Is this seller false advertising?

Yep after my order being on hold with a shipping date of 5/12, then 5/15. 5/16, 5/17, and finally 5/18 my status has now been upgarded in "In stock and resrved". Not sure if I'm happy or sad.
