My Dillon Gage set came in huge flips. The largest coin flips this side of Jurassic Park!

Yeah, mine just came that way too. Not too impressed with their packaging.

Wish APMEX would have let me buy a set.

I didn't get any that were slabbed/graded.

I am disappointed in my APMEX set. Not a single 69. 1x 68, 3x 68 PL, 1x 68 DMPL. Thinking about calling them -- this is the first set I have heard of to not have at least 1 69.

My US Mint ATB 5 oz came as well. a couple small marks on the obverse. not as shiny as the bullion ones. does not appear prooflike. other finish is nicer imo.

We got ours yesterday. Awesome! Some folks have been getting them with creases between the letters in hot springs. Evidently the metal got bent a bit when the press came down and caused some creasing. They were complaining, but it seems to me to be an error just as any mess up at the mint.
---

Sorry, not sure how to quote...

I got mine today and it had the creases. Looks good to me!

Many of the APMEX sets were without a 69. The reports of APMEX sets began to show up on CU Forums several days ago with 67, 68, and plain BU grades. Today was when the boxes marked "D" came in with all 69s.

I understand you being upset. APMEX promised BU or better so it's the luck of the draw - I think.

I like the finish in the collector coin more in the puck series. That's why I waited for these before getting any.

Finally opened my US Mint box with the beverage coaster inside. It sure rattled a lot before I opened it. The rattling was caused by the capsule not being fully closed, so the coin was banging along the inside. It was work to pry the capsule (which I really hate; the mint capsules are just horrible) free from the injection molded plastic/velvet flocked holder. Would not have been a problem if the reverse was presented face up, instead of good 'ol G.dub... I opened the capsule to flip the coin over, no major mark, or dimpling along the rim, just a tiny rim ding over the PR on the upper rim. After all I that, I felt curiously deflated, much ado over nothing. It's a boring looking coin, IMO, with an even more boring design that looks like the NPS entrance to the loo at that park... Seriously, it lacks any pizazz of the PL and DMPL pieces, very anti-climatic indeed. It'll be an uphill battle next week for the Mint to sell the Yellowstone coin next week @ $279.95, with the price of silver having taken a tumble since the beginning of the month, they will be hard pressed to sell this out. $239.95 would be more in line.

Thanks Park. I ended up with 5 of the 2010 bullion sets in total. 2 from A-Mark, 1 from APMEX, 1 from Dillon Gage, and 1 from Jack Hunt.

Here's my "batting average" and I call'em as I see'em.

1. A-Mark1: (B+) A very nice set but no 69DMPL.
2. A-Mark2: (C-) Sub-par group that was my worst set.
3. Jack Hunt: (B-) A decent set that is still raw but okay.
4. APMEX: (A) Flat-out homerun.
5. Dillon Gage: (A-) Great looking raw set.

BH congrats on that set..sweet.

Well I got my bling bling yesterday from the mint.

The only thing I notice is along the rim (reverse)...not sure what it is. Else, Surfaces on both sides are flawless and I like it. This is also my favorite 2010 design for it's simplicity.
