I am really getting frustrated, I have many coppers I want to post on this thread but no way to get a workable image. I use a flat plate scanner for my silver coins but the copper turn out too dark on the scanner and I can't get my cheap digital camera to take a decent photo up close. ANyone out there know of a scanner setting that might work on copper?
By the way Moe, looks like you have quite a string of LCs, do you collect by dates in an album like a Dansco?

Try scanning it on your scanner than running the image through google picasa. you can lighten it up nicely.

Hi cdn44fan!

Nice coin but it's not an 1828. The bust style of your Large Cent did not start until 1839. (See the 1839 Booby Head LC I posted and see if you agree...).
