Keys! Though I'm not active it was actually my first collection of anything started when I was 2. Got a couple thousand some from the 1700's. Most of my good ones are from England. My sister still gives me nice keys for birthdays and such.
I have a large stamp collection but I don't care much about it. Paper don't work for me. I like metal.

Sel, that clock sounds absolutely fascinating.... I would love to have a clock with anchor escapement..... I have a mantel clock with verge escapement, and a few grandfather clocks with deadbeat escapement, but yours sounds like something truly special.... Does it keep fairly accurate time? What does it sound like? Does it tick loudly?

Quote: My favorite is "I was a Communist for the FBI" have all of the episodes. I've thought about that one but haven't listened to it. I'll have to check it out and see if I like it. How many episodes are there?

I collect O scale Lionel trains and rolling stock, transformers, track. I have enough to run 5 trains and have the layouts on paper but never set them up. I also have a lot of small plastic rubber and cast vehicles that are from the 1930's to 1950's for the train layout. Then I have large pressed steel trucks and whatnot, like Tonka Buddy L and Structo. A few nice Wyandotte trucks. I have the baseball and stuff like others and have been sticking that in the shop and selling it cheap. I collect canning jars, art glass, early American pressed glass, particularly the thousand eye pattern. I like pottery jugs and crocks. I collect fishing lures and reels and firearms. Forgot about old marbles and trade cards and post cards.

I like "useful" things. Tools, books (and pdfs), gear... even comic books, but I never keep them for value purposes, only for reading and art, for example. Birthday xmas misc cards, too.
Might want to get some fire insurance for those matchboxes.

I collect and play with O Scale Lionel trains and when the mood strikes me I dig out one of my many Erector sets and start building. Sold off 9/10's of my gun collection but still work on them from time to time {was a gunsmith by trade}. I also collect and play with model steam aka Live Steam engines from time to time.

I live in the Chicago area and around here we are collecting SNOW. I've considered entering tha auction forum to see if I can sell some. I have a real lot of that for sale if anyone is interested. And here is one more thing I collect. Only have 5 for now. And with the present prices of gasoline, don't drive those to much either.

zeewool: Yep! The clock does tick rather loudly. Funny. You get so used it that you can for get to hear it at all, until you program your brain to do so.
Accuracy? About a minute a week, varies a bit with ambient temperature. The rate of going can be very finely adjusted by effectively varying the pendulim length. There is a set nut below the pendulum bob that adjusts it up or down.
I have been living with this clock for over 50 years.
Hickory dickory dock. Two mice ran up the clock. The clock struck one, the other escaped with cuts and abrasions.
