Lego
I used to have a large collection of Star Wars Lego but I sold most of it and started buying the modular buildings. I do still own the enormous 3,100 piece Imperial Star Destroyer though.
In total I have about 25,000 individual Lego pieces.

@condor, I too collect old time radio programming. Mines a little larger.. I have more than 60,000 programs covering all genres. I listen to all of them piped through 1940's bakelite radios I own. Able to do this via an AM transmitter and my computer... Lots of fun...

Coins was my first love as a kid and have recently got back into it. I've been collecting original film posters and have grown that to a few hundred pieces over ten or so years. Over the last two years I've sorta flip flopped between posters and coins with this year marking a big shift back into coins.
Some of the more abstract things I collect is summits. Here in Colorado we have 58 14,000 foot peaks and over 13,000 foot peaks so it keeps me active and busy year round. I also work for a major cable provider and my job is to pre-screen all the films and shows before they go to air so I track every title I screen on IMDB so you can say I collect all the titles of everything I've seen here which is so far just over a thousand films and shows in a year and a half!
This is a cool thread by the way! @crazyforATB - cool beach sand display!

Among other things I collect are shot glasses. Here's one display I have by my computer. I'm too lazy right now to go look for pictures of my other displays.

Speaking of shot glasses, I collect empty whiskey and bourbon bottles. Only thing is they were all full when I started joking. I have about 40 of Dale Earnhardt matchbox sized cars from 1977 to 2001. I also like to build furniture.

I collect old radioactive relics (vaseline glass, radium watches, etc.) on the side (they are all legal to own, I looked it up). The highlight of the collection is my great-grandpa's watch - it delivers the equivalent of one dental X-ray every 24 hours and he wore it for 20 years! I also like element samples and so I have a few vials, metal bits and whatnot laying around.

this has got to be one of the BEST threads here. Interesting how in many cases many of us have similiar collecting interests. I dont know if I mentioned I also like to collect a few Dr Who items along with my original vintage Star Wars.

I know I posted shot glasses, but here's my other favorite non-coin collection...pez dispensers. This is a sample of what I have. I have more but they got packed up when I moved and I cannot find that box anywhere.

I don't really collect much apart from coins but I buy jewellery bracelets, charms, beads, rings, than sell it. I mainly design charms and beads on Pandora bracelets you could call it a collection I suppose. Here is a bit of self advertising but this is what I do apart being a mummy and collecting coins. http://www.ebay.com/sch/allthegoodn...=p4340.l2562 Its my ebay jewellery page

@austrokiwi, I also collect scotches, mostly single malt but I do like some of the finer blends too. Well, at least I used to collect, now I just have a collection. I don't think I have any nearly as valuable as yours, but I do have a few 21-year bottles and a bottle of JW Blue that come out on special occasions. I'm actually trying to work through my collection as I need the cabinet space for cooking gear! :) Ah, problems....

Yup - I used to Collect Dr Who stuff! I've been selling it off recently if you want any (still some of the good stuff left - didnt sell well at the carboot). I collect fossils on the side but where I find them they are quite fragile and often degrade quickly so it has to be a rolling collection. Without preservation they dont last long at all. Less than 10 years before literally crumbling.
