Great to hear collector stories I've found a few good coins, including this one for $1.50 at an antique shop:

Cents; 1999 WAM, far and away. Nickels; 1931-S in XF... or the 2 nickel boxes with a combined 30 full-date buffs. Quarters; 1932-D in AG. Halves; Haven't found anything really good... best find was 11 1964's out of a CWR.

1918/7-D Buffalo nickel on ebay for $500. Now in a PCGS VG10 holder. The seller wasn't sure if it was actually an overdate. His pics were small. I took a chance. Paid off.

I have several best finds. None were my ex-wifes either. Once a really long time ago a coin store had a plate in the window with 10 1916D Mercury dimes just laying there for $1.50 each. I purchased all 10 of them. If you think I'm exagerating, there is one small thing though. This was about 50 or so years ago so back then that was really a lot of money. And too, who collected coins then anyway?

This forum has made my day. All day long reading stories from everyone... I have no one to talk to about coins, my girlfriend listens to me talk and will help search rolls but she does it to spend time with me, not because she has an interest. Thank you everyone!

Best find has to date has been a 1934 $500 Dallas note for face value from a local bank. There's a pic of it somewhere on this site. :)

So she says or so you think. Ever check her pockets when she leaves? Kind of kidding but a long time ago, first wife took care of all the bills and money in the family. YEAH, RIGHT. After she left I received a notice from a bank that I never knew about verifying all now closed. You never really know everyone.

The best find was a 22-D Lincoln when I broke open a roll of cents at the store. A few days later a 24-D (I thought that I had an image uploaded). It's been pretty dry lately though.

My best find to date roll searching would have to be my 1992 LMC CAM although the 1909D Indian head half eagle I found in a roll of quarters comes in a close second. Kie
