spg1 Valued Member Australia 363 Posts	Posted 02/12/2011 05:57 am These are called "repeater" numbers, some people believe that the whole serials should repeat, others say it applies to the last 6 digits as the first two relate to the mintage year (in most cases). I think it depends on the collector. Your note - depending on condition - might attract a small premium. I have a number of similar $5 notes from Vf to UNC and value to about $20 (according to sales from ebay). Hope this helps. Report this Post to the Staff
Nevol Formerly nancyc Australia 5385 Posts	Posted 02/12/2011 4:00 pm DH 05 060 606 is a two digit repeater, and as far as I am aware, two digit repeaters do not attract any premium. I think a 3 digit repeater serial of 060 060, or 606 606 might attract a small premium, if someone was after a particular set of numbers. This type of repeater is always a 6 digit radar. A serial like 066 066 is just a regular 3 digit repeater. However, if you like the sequence of numbers, keep it!
