darryldarryl, this auction is a bidding war, and not likely a true indication of value. After about 20 of these sell, then you will have a better sense of value. We know how many are out there, the person who has these should have only certified a few and sold the rest raw...

I am not bidding on this item, I prefer to let the dust settle. Anyone want to bet a coffee that this seller will list another one as soon as this auction is over?

I agree with you SPP-Ottawa but at least now we have some sort of a guideline or something to reference this coin to, we havent had that in the past.
I like to play it safe myself, sometimes after the dust settles, you tend to kick yourself in the behind because you missed the train so to speak.
The mintage on the 2006 P as you know is already super low. It may take 20 years before we have 20 confirmed sales.
Just my opinion.
By the way, your on for the coffee bet.

I love it darryldarryl. A little excitement on the bay instead of the usual hum drum stuff.

Good news Penny4Me!
2 ebay auctions ended tonight for the 2006 no p no logo. r**9 the 2006 penny bandit only won one of the two. I think he is saving his cash for the non magnetic auction.
Jump in over the next few days on one of the coins you want as I have a gut feeling he will be laying low for a few days.

Cdn Coin Man....

I don't think the normal rules apply here on what a 66 is worth vs a 64. Normally the 66 is grade scarce and lower grades are common. Here all are rare. I think that a 66 is worth more than a 64, but not by the usual multiple. I would say that if a 64 is worth 850 (the current bid), then a 65 is worth 1000 to 1200 and a 66 is wotth 1200 to 1500. The hard question to answer is what the 64 is worth. This auction will provide an indication, but it will likely be either way high or way low vs the reality in a few years.
