1914 5 Cent Coin Minting Source

Looks like a P to me....... Odd

Hard to tell by the picture as it is not very clear and an angle shot like this can distort the real image.

If I had to guess I would say it is an accumulation and not a P.

The last Canadian 5 cent coin ( 1903 - 1921 era ) to have a mint mark was the 1903H, with a small H and a large H.. The mint mark is located under the bow on the reverse side..

Posting a good clear straight on picture will certainly help in determining what this is..

I tried taking other pictures with my digital camera and cell phone and sadly my cell phone camera took a better picture than my $300 digital camera. All the new pictures are less useful than the one I posted, so I won't bother posting others. It looks like someone offered what I was looking for which was a rough estimate of value so I decided to put it on e-bay rather than try to get a better pic to post. Thank you for your feedback.

It all comes down to one's perspective of decent. I was going to throw it away because the change machine at my bank would have choked on it. When I realized it was silver I assumed it had some value. An e-bay auction costs me 15 cents and first class postage with a signature receipt is around $5. The current bid on e-bay is $2.25. A decent price for me was any that exceeded my $5.15 in expenses. At this point any bid was gravy compared to the fact that I was originally going to toss it.

Honestly, this is the most interesting coin I've seen today--just for the huh factor.
If that's a die chip, it's sure an interesting shape. Most likely though, it is somebody playing around with their skills and raising a mintmark and affixing it this coin. Otherwise, wouldn't there be some documentation?

So who out bid me on this coin? I am very curious as to what the "P" is.
