My friend helped the boy souts count and wrap $1000+ of cents they gathered somehow. They found about 70 wheats in 100,000 coins, and that was about ten years ago.

I got a bag of 5000 mostly 40s and 50s for $130. I will go through them and planned to roll and sell or trade on CL to see what I can get. Would you guys roll per year or decade? It would make it alot easier to go by decade.

I keep all min in a jar. I am trying to get to a thousand from roll searching. My box with 667 in it got me a lot closer to that!

You could do what I do. I started with an Album for those, same with all denominations. As I found or acquired a coin better than the one in the Album, it goes into the album and the ome in the Album goes into a 2x2, in a box, in order. As the box fills up, I acquire a new Album and start #2 with all those duplicates. Same with Album #3, then #4, etc. This system gets a little irritating when you find a great coin for Album #1. The one from #1 goes into #2, from #2 to #3, from #3 to #4 and on and on and on. This sometimes takes many hours and I usually wonder why, why, why.
The above reason is why I have 10 Lincoln Albums, 12 Mercury dime Albums, 6 Indian Head cent Albums and on and on and on. I never sell coins although I have given some away so the amount of coins continues to grow and grow and growwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Here is the pecking order
1. The best of the best go in my Dansco
2. The best of the rest, I place in 2x2s and store in 2x2 storage box. I try to limit my boxes to four which is about 400 coins.
3. The rest I place in plastic tubes by year (not mintmark) and keep no more than a tube's worth of mixed mintmarks.
4. The worst I roll up by decade and try to get rid of. I will give them away or donate to auction at work for charity.
5. Repeat steps 1-4
