I mean that, though.
You guys are passionate and I appreciate that. I think all Vammers are serious.

I don't have a definition, but Napoleon Dynamite comes to mind every time I see the word "vammer".

When people ask me if I am a serious vammer I answer, "no, but I get to visit in the company of serious vammers." I am comfortable with that.

You may be a serious vammer if you study and look for vams two hours or more a day. You may be a serious vammer if you actively collect clashed E coins. You may be a serious vammer if you do research on vams and write attribution guides. You may be a serious vammer if you study die states on vams. You may be a serious vammer if you study all of the intricacies of a Morgan & orr Coining press.. You may be a serious vammer if you seek a wounded eagle or hot lips. You may be a serious vammer if you prefer long nocks to short ones.

Quote: You may be a serious vammer if... I was thinking the same thing! You may be a serious vammer if you find yourself attributing cracks in the sidewalk.

If you've attributed your new Morgan before grading it, you're a serious VAMmer. If you've ever gotten into a bidding war over a VF 1878 Morgan, you're a serious VAMmer. If your photographic file of a Morgan has one obverse, one reverse and 47 detail shots, you're a serious VAMmer. If you suddenly realize that, of your 100 Morgans, 85 are the same year, you're a serious VAMmer. If you've ever tried to attribute an AG3 Morgan, you're a serious VAMmer. ....and if you've done all of that, you're me.

you might be a vammer if you think you see doubled anything, when you bought two of the same coins...Thinking a Morgan is more than a dollar...While spending hours thinking that crack can be put into a bowl....You may be looking at clashes and be just be chasing farts in the wind? OR searching die poop for some pony under all that @#$#%% crap?looking for that leprucan's pot of gold BUT we all "fancy" our own way of spending our time in what interests us...That is what this hobby is about.......and all the above...

NO NO NO It has been said that while walking out to your car you look down and notice a dis-placed cement crack! Your a serious (Coin Collector When) You dream that some marketing company calls you to put together a mass mailing where they are sending out Ike dollars and you say OK. Later in the dream you run to the Federal Reserve to buy 15,000 Dollars and they bring up 15 1000 count bags. And You notice that all the bags are dated Pre 1968. I had that dream about 4 days ago

OMG! From the descriptions here, it appears that I am guilty. Five years ago I had two Morgan and one Peace dollar. One Morgan turned out to be a B-1 reverse that took me hours to finally attribute as a VAM 82. Fast forward to today ... Now over 400 Morgans and over half of those are 1878. I come home from work and log onto ebay and see the new 1878 listings for the day. Half way through the wife calls me to supper. After the meal it's back to the Bay to finish the 78's and move to the 80's. I must admit it's alot faster than it used to be. With decent pictures I can attribute most with a quick glance at the obverse and reverse. If I have the time I move to 1888's, 1891-O, 1900-O, 1921-D or 1934-D. I do this every night of the week except Sunday. The grandkids are here until about 7pm so no surfing til late. This is my winter routine and will change slightly when it warms up and outdoor activities are available. I don't post as much on the forums (CCF and VAMWorld) as others, but I am always watching. What does all of this mean ... I HAVE NO LIFE!
