How do you do that, as those two you mentioned are the main problems I always face to buy any coin online!
I previously posted sites online where I have purchased coins. Not sure if they ship internationally. https://goccf.com/t/88381#728874

Quote: Earle42: Congrats on finishing the JFKs from so very far away! That is a major accomplishment.
I do not know how you plan to store these, but I want to share with you that I had a Kennedy folder just like yours that I wrapped in plastic wrap and stored for a few years. Evidently the cardboard in the folder retained some moisture b/c after some years in storage, when I took them out to look at them, the reverses of the coins had lost their luster.
Thank you Earle42, right now they will remain in this folder, I do hope to place them someday in a Dansco album but I think that there is no album for these dates only and that means that I will have a half empty album with many holes to fill .... may be when I complete the other sets, then I could try to complete the other dates. Thank you again for your advice and aorry for what happened to your coins.

Quote: LOL ... don't worry so much ... many USA collectors purchase Mint Sets for the exact purpose of liberating the coins for their albums. There is no worry or problem in doing this.
Anyways ... my original offer still stands ... I am willing to ship to you in Egypt (not your Aunt) an entire original 1970 USA Mint Set (10 MS coins total) in the original US Mint packaging so that you can fill that 1970-D Kennedy hole ... all at my cost and expense without a penny from your pocket.
You will need to cut the coin out and place in your lovely album collection.
Nothing asked for or needed in return ... except the photo of your 1970-D hole filled.
David OK David .... but remember that the guilt is yours .... Thank you very much for your generosity..... PM sent

Thank you Ricardocody Most of my students who are traveling abroad go to either Canada or Australia and they dont come back except after several years and it will be difficult to find a student traveling to USA and has some knowledge about coin collecting to help me buying what I need. I do have relatives in Chicago and I send the coins that I would be afraid they might get lost or would pay a high custom fees or taxes when they are sent to Egypt. The only problem is that I will receive all the coins when they visit us I Egypt and this happens only once a year.

Quote:well I am actually working on more than one US coin set. The Kennedy half's is one of them. The others are Jefferson nickel (13 coins to complete it), Roosevelt dimes (15 coins to complete it), State Quarter Series P and D (5 coins to complete it). Really an amazing accomplishment considering how far away you are from the USA. Many right here have trouble completing sets and you did yours from way, way over there. And working on all those other sets too is really amazing. However, I too suggest you consider changing to an Album over Folders. Lots of different manufacturers of Albums out there. Folders are really not the best for long term storage.

just carl Thanks Carl for your nice words, and I am really hoping to place them in Dansco albums ..... I have asked one of my friends in Michigan to help me with that, he is supposed to buy me the albums and send them to Chicago and then I will manage to take them from there. If I could do so..... it will be a 4 year dream come true and will be quite an accomplishment

EgCollector, Nice set of Kennedy's you have there! Quite a feat, considering the distance! I've gotten a lot of nice mint sets at http://www.libcoin.com/ and have been very satisified with them. I think they ship internationally as well. I collect Ikes, and have ended up with a complete collection of Kennedy's from '73 to '78 due to the mint sets I bought for the Ikes. After seeing what you have done, I think I will begin work on a complete Kennedy collection after I finish with my Ikes.
