I just (gently) removed this one from it's PCGS slab.

What would you guess the grade was? Thanks for looking! (different lighting on the two pics...)

Man Moe, where do you keep finding these nice Seated Liberty coins.. My guess would be high XF to AU. It looks to be of nice natural color.. It matches my 1860 $1 quite nicely. I give it 4 out of 5 slobbers..

Gee, it's kinda hard to grade this one.
IMHO - AU-50
But I'm sure it looks better in hand, my hand

I would put her at XF 40, another great low mintage date.

XF-45 imho. Nice coin! If no one else noticed, this is a very scarce date! mintage of 12K, this isn't your average seated half.

And for the PCGS reveal:

1888-Seated-Liberty-Half-Dollar-For-Grading

I think it's fair grade though I might've graded slightly higher, maybe EF-45?

Thanks for playing, everyone!

Moe145 I wish you good searching for your set of Seated halves, an endeavour I would pursue too if I had the funds for it. I have always loved this type of coin and would appreciate it if you would continue showing us your acquisitions.
