If the market will go with this, I am going to buy 5 and flip four or five to pay for an 09 S VDB to complete my Lincoln set. If these puppies start selling in the 5-600 range, I am going to flip all five.

The 2006 three coin sets were trading for over $500 during their peak.

Dang it, I woke up this morning resolved to just buy one set for myself and just be happy with that. I'm a collector, not a dealer and not a speculator. But now I'm again tempted to buy several to grade and flip. If I can make a couple hundred on a set, that would buy a lot of dimes.

Sigh, I am starting to get sucked into the frenzy as well. I was only planning on buying 1 set for myself. Over the weekend I decided to purchase 3 sets, 1 for me and 2 to resell. Now I am thinking of just trying to purchsase 5 sets and be done with it.
However, what do you think the best way for me to purchase them is going to be? I am thnking of trying to place five individual orders through their website. I don't have any plans to have them sent in for grading myself, but by having them as singles, I can leave 4 of them unopened and try to sell them off as sealed sets to some one else that might want to have them graded in the future.
Do you think this will be possible or will I have too many hassles trying to place 5 orders during the rush tomorrow? BTW, the time involved won't really be an issue as I have about 4 hours for this process if needed.

All right, I'm in. I'm gonna try and snag 5 of these puppies at noon tomorrow. No plans to resell any -- I just want 'em!

Just got an email from ANACS about sending 25th Anniversary ASE's in for certification (but now seems that "flipping" seems to be the buzz word); We call all the Silver Eagles from that year "25th Anniversary", but we don't call any of them "25th Anniversary Set". So please do not send us any mint packaging.
Please let us know if you need anything else.
Paul A. DeFelice Vice President, Client Services and Marketing ANACS 303-339-3400 What I am getting out of this is that ANACS does not have specialty labels, nor will treat any of the 2011 ASE differently than the ASE Anniversary Set. So, it appears that PCGS (and maybe NGC) would corner the market on designated 25th Anniversary ASE's? And that you have to be a (paid and in good standing) member to have the "special labels"?

With that stated from ANACS, that the only premium now would be for ones in a sealed box. Otherwise the four coins available outside this set will be marked 25th no matter what, set or no set. Those four could be "composed" if you had the one reverse proof. Would make composing a PF70 set a lot easier as long as your reverse proof got the PF70 GRADE.

Well, that's for ANACS. NGC and PCGS might be doing something different. I do like their response though - "Please do not send us any of their stupid packing peanuts."

UHRoller, only three of the coins are available outside the set. The P proof, W uncirculated, and bullion coin are already available but the P reverse proof and S uncirculated coins are unique to the anniversary set. In any case, it looks like ANACS is not interested in maintaining the provenance of the set coins, so either send to PCGS, NGC, or (possibly) ICG or keep the sealed boxes to maintain the market value of the non-unique coins.
From the NGC site "Coins from these sets will be pedigreed as EAGLE 25TH ANNIVERSARY SET. A special NGC commemorative label is available. Because some of these coins are also available individually from the US Mint, special instructions must be followed in order for coins to qualify for this EAGLE 25TH ANNIVERSARY SET pedigree and label."
You have request that they return the mint packaging and pay $1 for them to do so.
They will also label them as Early Release coins unless you tell them not to. This seems crazy to me since a quick sellout means that all anniversary sets will qualify (unless PBGS takes over a month to get them all out). What the label should say is "Early Submission".

Will calling the mint be the best way? Have price been determined?
