Oops - I made a mistake! I went back and reviewed my order. For some reason it said the sets were in my shopping cart still. I tried checkout and it said my shipping and billing address were not the same - even thought the other day, anticipating any problems, I went and double checked all of my info to make sure it was OK. So I called and after 6 attempts I got connected with an "option 0" customer rep. She told me that my addresses ARE the same in their account and gave me the order confirmation number she had onscreen. She also told me that this number was on her screen, but if I did not get an email confirming it the next few hours, to give them a call and double check. She said they had only taken in 3000 calls so far (could not tell me the number of email orders though). She also said she did not expect to sell out even by midnight tonight (when they are open to today). I asked her if I was guaranteed my sets considering the web glitch and that I she says their records showI I have a paid order number. She said that if the system messes up and does not link with her computer, she could not guarantee anything - yikes! But if I do not get the email, she really thought I would be able to get the sets anyway if ordered today or tomorrow.  And the same government who bought these computer systems that runs the mint wants us to trust them to let their computers dictate our healthcare ?

Even if you don't get the confirmation e-mail, go to your account and click on the "Track Order" link. If your order shows up there, you can probably be pretty confident that it went through.

"Let me get this straight, you took a whole day off from work just to buy 25 ounces of silver?" "Well, silver's going up again."    I'm glad I already bought some 2011-W Uncirc's, so I won't have to wait until "late November" to see one...

I finally completed 5 separate orders. Using Google Chrome and quick checkout really made a difference, that and clicking carefully since the time between clicks ranges between 15-20 seconds to several minutes.

You know they went through when you get to the order confirmation page, then onto the online order receipt. Looks like 4000 orders were placed in the 25 minutes it took to complete mine as that was the range of order numbers between my first and last.

If everyone order 5 set then there are 20K orders to be made. I believe they will not sold out w/in today since there will be duplication and return as well as cancel because of CC issue.
The good thing is they always open until midnight EST (on business day) so you can always call back in to confirm your order and or place back up order.
Note: They will ship these out on 11/10/2011 (per their webpage), not the end of November like previously listed.

Well my laptop decided to not work properly today. So since I couldn't get through the phone line after almost 1.5 hrs ( why have a survey during your busiest time?) I got through the website on my iPhone. Got my confirmation number so I hope it's ordered.

Hmm, what is it with October and the release of highly desired coin sets? I just checked my history with the mint and forgot about the order I placed on 15 Oct 2009... Lincoln Coin & Chronicles Set ($55.95), shipped 22 Oct 2009 (only a week for delivery back then?)  The mint must be holding out for Christmas gift ideas. On my Order Summary it states; Order number: XXXXXXXX

Order Status: Your order request is on hold. What does that mean?  Just part of the process since it is not ready (or is it?) to be shipped out?

I was unable to get 20 sets like I did with the 20th anniversary set since both kids have moved in with me but did get to order 2 sets today at 12:15. These were about $200.00 more than the 20th anniversary sets were but silver has doubled or more since then also

Looking at my order history, status says HELD. Anyone else have this? Still no email either but thinking it might take awhile to receive it.

To check for your order status, the best way is to CALL IN. Since they have separate dedicated line (I believe) for this.

I was not going to worry about anything as long as I have my order numbers. I figure the website is plugged enough already. My emails came right through.
