Some ebay shenanigans: One set (5 coins) Buy it now for... $1,999! Another seller is offering a set with each coin graded at PF/MS 70! I love how they can already guarantee you that the coins they will receive will all grade 70's, when they receive them. Only thing I can figure here is they are ordering so many sets that they can assure you that they will cherry pick a 70 of each coin, put the set together and send it to you. They were asking $3,200 for the set of 70's.

Quote: Well if they are already instituting a wait list, these went quickly today. The only criticism I have is they should have upped the mintage if the 'order limit' was 5 per account. True, but then again, those of us who got our sets and are hoping these sets will go up in value are probably glad the mintage is as limited as it is.

Unsuccessfully tried for 1.5 hours and then logged on here to see how others were doing. Thanks to whomever referenced Google Chrome. Quickly downloaded it and was more successful with three different orders. Got an email for second order (38362XXX), but no email for the first (38345XXX) or third order (38382XXX). Checked order status and system reflects backordered through 11/11/11 for all three orders. Why wouldn't I get emails for two of the three orders?

It looks like they are all sold. Earlier today October 27, 2011 at 12:00 Noon ET, the United States Mint began sales of the hotly anticipated 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set. In approximately 4.5 hours, the Mint has apparently received customer orders for the entire maximum production limit. Orders are still being accepted for placement on a waiting list. After having issues, I knew better than to keep trying. There is a coin show starting tomorrow. My $300 will be well spent on something.

I'm posting late but I got my 5, plus my g/f got 3 sets. Ones for her dad and I'll keep at least 1, rest will go to secondary market. Got the confirmation email right after. It actually wasn't bad. It took about 15-20 min. until I was able to place them in my cart, then quick check out which took about 5 min.

Tried all day to get a set for my daughter's birthday and never got through. Website won't load for me as of right now either. Let me know if any of you want to sell at a small profit. I really wanted to add this to her collection! I will keep trying to get on the waiting list.

Don't forget, just because you receive an order number, does NOT mean you will get all or some of your order.
My buddy placed a late order, just in case there are cancellations. 38388xxx

If I don't get one of the 2 sets I ordered I think I will be done with the mint. Limit of 5 sets per person (or dealer). Great planning there US Mint. I started on internet at noon, and never got through until like 5. And phones were busy all day too. Maybe the mint should spend some of its profits to hire some good management. Oh ya Didn't seen waiting list notice when I ordered so lets hope. I get them. Rob

Sheez... I feel really bad for all of you that spent 5 hours, I took 49 minutes according to my receipt from the mint. I used a laptop connected through an Ethernet bridge which connects to the web using house wiring in between the two bridge units which makes it slow at best! Firefox browser and windows 7 system worked out for me. Eaglefoot, Did you ever get your set(s)?

danmc00 I might be able to help you out.
Much to my horror, I have two separate order numbers and two separate e-mails - I managed to somehow duplicate my order. I just got back from the dentist (I was rushing to get my order in) and now my mouth is numb, my credit card is screaming, my kid is sick and my husband is not home yet...looking for a bottle of JD and a straw.
