Wow ... apologize for the 2 month delay between updates on this quest ... hoping you understand that too much time at work coupled with health concerns for my aging father have put a serious crimp in my collecting and CCF time.
I'll begin this update with the status of my efforts to get the 50 coin circulated type set in problem-free PCGS holders ... bad news there.
The PCGS wizards have judged my Antietam to be VF Details- Cleaned, my Huguenot as AG Details- Cleaned and my Robinson, York, Alabama, Bay Bridge, Iowa and New Rochelle in a similar light.
I do not agree with them ... but have accepted their collective judgement.
No worries ... I now have 40 of the 50 in problem free PCGS holders and am already picturing the layout of my someday numismatic exhibit on circulated classic silver commemorative.
I do have three additions to share ...
1893 Isabella QuarterHeritage FUN auction January 2013. PCGS AG03 ... ties for the lowest ever certified by PCGS. Truly enjoy the uniform wear and color.
1926 Sesquicentennial HalfCould not resist this honestly worn raw example which I grade as AG03. Would be a downgrade from my PCGS VG10 example ... if I can get it past the wizards.

1924 Huguenot-Walloon HalfI grade this raw coin as VG10 ... replacement for my AG details cleaned example.

Know that I remain fully committed to assembling this set for as long as it take to find these treasured and challenging coins in the marketplace.
The very essence of collecting is IMHO establishing honest goals for yourself and pursuing your passion with patience and dedication ... such is my personal quest for a complete type set of honestly circulated classic silver commemorative.
I will be very proud someday when this thread ends with a photo of my set on display at an
ANA show ... however long that takes.
I know the 'collectors' out there understand.
Best
David
