Quote: I can't believe I missed this coin. I check teletrade usually once a week You gotta stay on top of your game Steven ... no slacking off allowed. I promise to send your way all the auction 'discoveries' that I make ... that I do not need for my own set. Paid $160 for the VG8 PanPac ... with buyers fee and shipping it cost me $190.62. I'm satisfied with that for a nice 'downgrade'. Still 12 holes to fill for a complete 50-coin circulated type set. David

Pleased to share photos of my newest addition ... a 1935 Arkansas that I grade in hand at F12 or so. A few very minor rim hits ... and had to remove some PVC from the reverse with a gentle acetone wash ... but other than that an honestly circulated problem free example. This is a tough coin to find in this low grade ... this 1935 Arkansas would grade as the second lowest ever certified by PCGS ... in fact there is only 1 other Arkansas (of the entire 15 coin date/mm series) ever certified by PCGS below VF. Now down to 11 holes in my circulated Dansco 7094. David

What a great honestly worn coin, just the right fit for your set. It's the first Arkansas I have ever seen with true wear.

I rarely get a new coin, usually I have to sell a coin to get a coin. haha. All well, I'm young, I'll have more to spend later in life.

David, I can't remember if you were looking for a Lafayette dollar? I have one on the way. It is certified, but I can't remember by who, but I think the grade is VG-8. It was described as nice with no problems.

Thanks for thinking of me Mike. My circulated set includes a G-06 Lafayette that I cracked out of a PCGS holder. Wonderful circulated cameo look and problem free. I've stayed current with my Want List ... https://goccf.com/t/108658David

Writing to share Update #2 on my pursuit of an honestly circulated 50-coin type set of classic USA silver commemorative. I'm down to 8 holes in my circulated type set ... with a handful of downgrades desired. Photos of the set coming right up ... I keep my Want List current ... you can view it here: https://goccf.com/t/108658I have had a blast over the previous 2+ years chasing these coins as a complement to my now-complete MS set ... and humbly suggest that this particular set is amongst the toughest of all USA series to complete ... As a general statement ... the classic silver commemorative coins issued before the Great Depression are readily available in circulated condition ... many of these were sold to the public (always at a premium above face value) ... and apparently many were spent during the tough depression times. The opposite end of market availability is the classic silver commemorative coins issued during the 'peak' time of collector abuse around 1936 ... most of which are very difficult to obtain in circulated condition ... nearly all were sold to dedicated collectors and few ever were spent at face value. Pursuit of this set bring me great numismatic joy and many fun hours spent searching for the coins. I admit to having gained some notoriety on my local coin show circuit ... the dealers start the conversation in jest with "Melted them all ... no help for you today David". I would be remiss to not mention the greatest of all time set of these coins ... assembled by bobvvv1 ... his complete PCGS circulated set is mind-boggling... and has always been a yardstick by which I gauged my progress. Soooo ... to the coins ... Apologize as needed for the poor photography ... my limited skills with the camera make many of these appear much darker than as seen in hand ... I've assembled my current set into a (hopefully) nice slideshow ... with some commentary on market availability based on my searching and PCGS data. Hoping you take the time to view this 2-minute slideshow ... Update #2 on my circulated classic silver set. Enjoy the show. http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/...ew=slideshowComments? David

Thanks SDcoinguy for the 'eyes' ... I need all the help I can get to find these coins. I politely suggest that all your links are to the Oregon Trail Half ... my 'nearly impossible' coin is the Spanish Trail Half ... the lowest known certified example is AU53. Tried to upload an image of the Spanish Trail ... having some issues with the CCF site. David

Nice collection and slide show! First time I've seen it. I've occasionally thought about working on an XF-45 set of commems, but have never pulled the trigger to start. I don't think I could work on a set mimicking your approach of "as low as I can go" so I'll have to live vicariously through yours! I like "pretty" coins and just can't adjust my eyes enough to make AG03 look pretty. Good luck on completing your set -- I'll keep my eyes open for your missing coins.
