Identifying Which VAM? 1891-CC & 1903-S

Vinnie Valued Member United States 79 Posts	Posted 10/05/2011 3:59 pm Hi all, Here are two lower mintage Morgans that I picked up recently. The 1891-CC has some discoloration to the reverse and the 1903-S has what I think are three small feathers stamped into the eagle. I would think a kid did this but I may be mistaken. Has anyone seen this before? Is it possible to ID which VAMs these are from the photos? All the best, Vinnie Report this Post to the Staff

aladinslamp Pillar of the Community United States 3076 Posts	Posted 10/07/2011 11:19 am your coin is a near date, so that narrows it down to just 2 coins, VAM 4 and 5, of those 2, your mint mark matches VAM 5.. its the 1903-s that would need closer examination... Report this Post to the Staff
